Six Sentence Sunday is a weekly blog hop where participants share six sentence snippets from a book or work in progress. Today’s six sentences are from my Bound by Blood novel in progress. Bound by Blood is a gay paranormal erotic romance in an urban fantasy setting.

Spending the night in the redhead’s bed had certainly satisfied his demanding physical needs. The boy—being only 20-something, he was still very much a boy in the battle-worn werewolf’s eyes—was wild and randy, seemed to draw from a bottomless well of energy, and reminded him so much of the lover he had lost. He was gorgeous and an excellent partner in their games of dominance and submission, drawing out a glimpse of the human side that his wolf side had thought died with his lover so long ago. All had seemed perfect—until he remembered that this particular redheaded beauty was a one-night stand. The wolf in him had sworn off humans, and the man had the strength to protest no more. He dressed as quietly as he could, then ran his fingers through the silky red hair fanned out on the pillow as a silent “thank you” slipped off his trembling lips before turning and walking out the door without a single glance backwards.

Halfway across the city, the seer started out of his meditation, glancing at his companion as he whispered, “Sean wasn’t joking about leaving a trail littered with broken hearts wherever he goes.”

The sapphire blue eyes darkened in an instant. “Not ours, darling, not this time.”

I think that’s a couple more than six sentences…oh well, it’s the last official Six Sentence Sunday anyway. I think I can get away with it. I hope you enjoyed reading about Sean’s partner for his last one-night stand. He’ll never forget it, and I doubt his lovers will either.
